We caught the last blossoms of the magnolia last week in the parc de l’Oragerie. We started around 5 and went for about two hours, seeing the light just getting softer and softer and really felt like magic: a lovely lady, beautiful blossoms and great light! It was such a pleasure.
Beginning of March is not a very warm time but we had a vision and we went for it because that is how we roll. Also as the weather in Brittany is crazy and so if you see the sun it doesn’t mean it’s going to be there in 10 minutes. And that means go go go! So imagine this – early morning, 5 degrees Celsius, high tide ( which we didn’t expect at all), and this courageous lady in a dress, well and also me running around like crazy so I’m freezing and sweating at the same time XD
Anyways, fun times.
It was in the beginning of Autumn that Gladys wanted photos in the beautiful historic parts of Strasbourg. We went there good and early to avoid the crowds of tourists and it worked out perfect!
Petite France is a historic quarter of the city of Strasbourg in eastern France. It is located at the western end of the Grande Île, which contains the historical centre of the city. At Petite France, the River Ill splits up into a number of channels that cascade through an area that was, in the Middle Ages, home to the city’s tanners, millers and fishermen, and is now one of Strasbourg’s main tourist attractions. Petite France forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Grande Île, designated in 1988.

It was one of the rare snowy days during the Strasbourg Christmas Market 2017, and Dewi and me were lucky enough to catch this magical time! We made our way through Petite France, Centreville and up to Broglie. Were we tempted to drink vin chaud and eat all the treats we could? Yes! Did we do it? No, but we were definitely tempted! And you can appreciate that because it was FREEZING! Btw Dewi has shown me photos from Indonesia and, boy oh boy, do I want to go there…
2 years after they took couple photos in this orchard – they come back with a baby bump! The magic of pumpkin season! PS The baby arrived just a couple of days later=))
Little Thomas will be a rockstar one day and I will boast that I was there to capture his first days in the world. And it seems like he and Framboise ( the doggy) are already kicking it, chill-style.
What do you do on a sunny weekend? I make people hike to mountain lakes and take pictures.
The place is truely amazing as well as Sarah, who patiently climbed every rock that looked good)
What do you do in Russia in Winter? Take pictures in the snow!
